Why it is prescribed (Indications) : 
This medication is an aromatic organic compound, prescribed for hyper-pigmented skin conditions (dark patches).





When it is not to be taken (Contraindications): 


It is contraindicated in pregnant women and patients with hypersensitivity.

Category C : Animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks.


When it is to be taken : 
Adult: Topical- As 2-4% preparation: Apply twice daily.

How it should be taken : 
It comes as a cream to apply topically.




Special Instruction : 
* Caution should be exercised in patients with history of asthma, any allergy, elderly, children, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.



* Avoid contact with eyes.



* Avoid using this cream on irritated or injured skin.



* Avoid co-administration with products containing hydrogen peroxide or benzoyl peroxide.



* Patient may develop with increased risk of allergic reactions, if it so consult with your doctor.

Side Effects : 
Local-


Mild burning, stinging, redness, dryness, itching, pimples, rash and burning.
Miscellaneous-


Tingling, hard skin and increased sensitivity.

Other Precautions : 
* Stop the medication if there is no improvement after 2 months of treatment.

Storage Conditions : 
Store it at room temperature (20°-25°C), keep away from light and moisture.
