International- AmLactin and Lac-Hydrin.


Why it is prescribed (Indications) : 
This medication is a chemical compound, prescribed for dry skin (Xerosis). The cream works by increasing the water content in the skin making the skin softer.





When it is not to be taken (Contraindications): 


Hypersensitivity.



When it is to be taken : 
Apply this lotion over the affected area and rub the area thoroughly twice daily or as directed by your physician.


How it should be taken : 
It comes as a gel, cream and lotion to apply topically.




Special Instruction : 
* For external use only.


* Caution needed for patients with history of any allergy; pregnancy and lactation.

Side Effects : 
Skin-

Stinging, burning, irritation, itching and redness.


Other Precautions : 
*Wash your hands thoroughly after applying this medication.
